Practically growing up with dogs and cats working at the family’s boarding and training kennel in Norwalk in the late 1970's, Emily has handled hundreds of dogs and cats during her lifetime.  She began her own professional pet-sitting career ten years ago when she started working with a Newtown-based pet sitting business. Prior to that Emily worked as a licensed private investigator for over ten years, adding another level to her career achievements. On New Years Day, 2011, Emily opened Always Safe at Home, LLC, continuing the excellent service of the predecessor company, Safe at Home. She lives in Newtown with Zoë, a twelve-year-old rescued lab mix, Coco, a four-year-old Sato, and two cats, Wallace and Jules.
